The Restaurant at The Historic Hill House and Farm

Food is an important part of the overall experience of staying at The Historic Hill House and Farm. The dining program focuses on providing an upscale and satisfying country experience in an extremely comfortable environment. Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Josh Slaughter, prepares refined classic American dishes utilizing the freshest and most local products possible. The restaurant is available exclusively to guests of The Historic Hill House and Farm.     

The Main house dining room

Our guests primarily dine in our charming and comfortable dining room, which has hosted Texans for meals dating back over 130 years. The separated room makes it possible to enjoy a romantic and intimate meal with your significant other or a lively and engaging encounter with other guests at the large farmhouse table. Enjoy the detail and character of our original wood floors, mill work, and fireplace. The main dining room can host a maximum of 32 guests. 

Food and Beverage program

The culinary team at The Historic Hill House is focused on delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Each member of the team brings years of experience in the food industry and a commitment to quality and consistency.  

As part of the standard room rate, guests receive a casual sit-down breakfast served in our dining room. For an added charge, guests can purchase a 3-course chef’s dinner. Our menu changes daily with an emphasis placed on high-quality seasonal and local offerings. Each meal offers options to meet all of our guests needs. Guests with food allergies or special requests can inform the staff when booking. We will do our best to accommodate all needs and requests.

Our beverage program focuses on offering a diverse, yet accessible, list of handcrafted cocktails, quality wines, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages that change regularly. We include a strong selection of local options and a taste of the country. Under Texas rules, no outside alcohol is permitted to be brought onto the property and guests must become members of our private club in order to receive service.
